Essential oils have impacted my life in many ways, but one of the most
beneficial effects they have had is supporting restful sleep! Between stressful
days, staying up too late and getting up too early, and the occasional day with
too much caffeine, quality sleep is something I need! I am so grateful that
Young Living offers all-natural products to support sleep.
Here’s what I do to sleep well each night:
- Apply Tranquil to the back of my neck, inside of my wrists, and temples. Tranquil is a blend of lavender, cedarwood, and roman chamomile essential oils. It smells amazing, and is specifically formulated to help relax the body and mind. Since it comes as a roll-on, I keep it on my nightstand for easy application before bed or if I wake up in the middle of the night!
- Diffuse lavender and cedarwood. One of the best ways to use essential oils is aromatically, through the use of a diffuser (see my post about diffusers here!). I put three to four drops each of lavender and cedarwood essential oils into my diffuser, turn it on before bed, and let it run through the night. Zzzz…
- Apply Peace and Calming to the bottoms of my feet with some coconut oil (or another carrier oil). Peace and Calming is a blend of tangerine, orange, ylang ylang, patchouli, and blue tansy essential oils. It’s incredibly soothing and relaxing!
