One of the reasons I'm excited about October is because I'm walking in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation One Walk to end type 1 diabetes! I'm one of Andy's Warrior Princesses!
Who is Andy? She's my co-worker's daughter. She's one of the most spunky and adorable eight-year-olds you'll ever meet. She's also one of the 1.25 million Americans with type 1 diabetes. To read more about Andy's story, click here.
Andy and her parents have had to deal with a lot: meticulous meal planning, middle of the night blood glucose checks, insulin shots, doctor's visits, and a hospital stay. Not things any child or her family should have to go through!
That's why I'm supporting JDRF's efforts to turn Type One into Type None! Scientists are making strides toward a cure, but more support is needed!
This month, I'm using my Young Living business to support Andy's Warrior Princesses. There are a couple of ways you can get involved:
1. For every person who gets started with Young Living by purchasing a Premium Starter Kit by October 24 (the One Walk date), I will donate $10 to JDRF! In addition to getting incredible essential oils and an awesome deal, you'll also be making a difference for Andy and kids just like her! 2. If you're already a member of my Young Living team, you can make a difference just by making a purchase by October 24! I will be donating a percentage of our team's organizational group volume this month. My goal is to donate $150, but I would love to donate even more than that!
